Went to K-Box today for another Ktv session in the evening, even though my voice wasn't in the best condition, I still enjoyed myself nonetheless. Also finally got to eat 2 of the cravings I had for the past few days, the spicy beef noodles at Compass Point and Ah beng western at Hougang 805. Oishi!!! ahaha
Anyway, had quite an interesting sermon over at the church today. The pastor was talking something about baptised by the Holy Spirit and filled by the Holy Spirit. I feel what he said was quite true, many people have throughout the centuries, been very disturbed by how other people see them. They want people to acknowledge them as a "qualified" christian by going through certain ceremonies, but you are already one when you have decided to believe and receive Jesus Christ as your savior.
You being a Christian, is all about building a relationship with God, himself. Of course, spreading his gospels is also your job as a servant to the Lord. But, we Chinese too, have one saying
"正心、修身、齐家、治国、平天下"
You have to first cultivate your own heart, you must first allow the Holy Spirit to fill your heart, follow God's Will. You must first be a strong believer and follower of His way, before you can lead and guide others.
Secondly, you must cultivate your own body. The body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, it is where the Holy Spirit resides in us. We must not allow unpleasant things to happen on our body and protect it with all we have from harm.
Actually, the third, fourth and fifth phrases, don't really apply to me yet. So I won't talk so much on it.
Thus, after we are done on the first 2 points, then can we guide others and spread the Lord's words. But, it is also part and parcel of learning when spreading gospels, because you may learn of other's problems and find out how it is God's will that makes things happen.
It is the week of Good Friday. Good Friday is a day we should all remember how our Lord suffered on the Crucifix for us sinners. It is my first Good Friday as a believer, so I'm actually quite curious what do we do on Good Friday. It's also a very special one, because it's my first one as a Christian believer. I guess it will be a real memorable one =]
Well, I think I have said enough for the day, for many I guess it is a real surprise for you guys, because it is the first time I'm actually sharing religious thoughts here in my blog. But as usual, people who are happy can stay, people who are unhappy can just move on. So peace out guys! ( and girls bleah! )
